How You can Help

How YOU can help the Unlocking the Past Project.

1. Do you have memories or photographs of the Royal Albert Hospital?

Using photographs and people’s own words, we are building up a picture of Royal Albert Hospital life in the last century from the point of view of those who lived and worked there.
Although interested in any era, we are particularly interested in the years before, or during, the 1970s.

Were you involved at the Royal Albert Hospital as:

·        a resident?

·        a member of staff (nursing or non-nursing)?

·        or had you relatives at the hospital?

If so, we are interested in recording your memories of hospital life and/or copying any photographs you may have to do with the Royal Albert.  If you wish, you may email (see bottom of page) scanned photographs to us and we would then get back to you to discuss any next steps.
With your permission, any recordings and photographs would become part of a collection or archive which members of the public could use.

We would respect your wishes as to the use of any information or photographs you provide.

2. Do you have further information on any of the photographs, or topics, in the website archive?

Please get in touch with any information which can you can give us.

3. Do you want to help the project as a volunteer?

It may be that you can assist the project with one or more of these activities - interviewing, archiving, photography, research, product development, administration, or training and supporting participants in a variety of project activities.

If you feel you can help, or have any questions, then please contact Nigel Ingham on Lancaster (01524) 67531 or email at nigel@unlockingthepast.co.uk
